Daddy Blogger

Today a buddy of mine posed the question I’ve been waiting for:

Now that you’ve got a new baby, are you going to become a “daddy blogger?”

I’m a huge fan of terms like “Mommy Blog” and “Daddy Blog,” because they’re so singularly exclusive. Ostensibly, if one posts on his/her blog about life with his/her kids, they’re a “Mommy/Daddy Blogger.” Now, I can hear the screams of objection: “There’s nothing wrong with that!”

I agree…there’s nothing wrong with that. I’m a “Daddy,” and I’ve got a blog - so in my eyes, that makes me a “Daddy Blogger.”

Turnipville has been, in its five year history, one of the most eclectic smorgasbords (how about THAT for hyperbole) that I’ve seen. I’ve shamelessly plugged my music, rambled about politics, sports and various tech stuff…but I’ve also been keen on mentioning things about my family.

That’s not going to change.

Turnipville is my little outlet on the web, and I talk about things that are important to me. Given that in the last two months, 9,000 of you have wandered this way (admittedly, some of you from blogexplosion.com), I must be doing something amusing.

Our newest little addition to the family is bringing all sorts of joy to my life, and you can count on me sharing some of it here…along with the other nuggets of truth that are hand-delivered by my Powerbook to your computer screen. :)
Cheers.

Thanks to some brilliant artwork by Grant at Tooned Toons, I’m going to periodically throw together some light-hearted “strips” for our collective amusement.
